PP & PE Weed Barrier Fabric for Agricultural Weed Control
Horyard Weed Barrier Fabric is a practical ground-cover solution for orchards, greenhouses, nurseries, farms, flower growing areas and other agricultural applications.
The fabric covers the soil surface to reduce sunlight reaching weeds and helps suppress unwanted weed growth while remaining permeable to water and air.
We offer both PP and PE materials, allowing growers and distributors to select the appropriate fabric according to weed-control requirements, service life, flexibility and budget.

Key Features
Effective Weed Suppression
The dense woven structure blocks sunlight from reaching the soil surface and helps suppress weed growth, reducing the need for frequent manual weed removal.
Water & Air Permeable
The woven structure allows irrigation water and air to pass through while keeping the soil surface covered.
Strong Woven Structure
Closely woven PP/PE material provides good tensile and tear resistance for agricultural ground-cover applications.
Easy to Cut & Install
The fabric can be cut according to planting rows, tree positions and field dimensions, making installation convenient in orchards, nurseries and greenhouses.
UV Stabilization Available
UV-resistant formulations are available for outdoor agricultural applications where longer exposure to sunlight is required.
Custom Manufacturing
Different roll widths, lengths, weights, colors, guide lines, folded rolls and packaging can be supplied according to wholesale requirements.
Applications
Orchard Ground Cover
Suitable for laying between or around fruit trees to help suppress weeds and make orchard maintenance easier.
Greenhouse Growing
Can be used as ground cover in greenhouses and growing facilities to provide a cleaner, more manageable growing area.
Commercial Nurseries
Suitable for nursery production areas, container-growing zones and plant display areas.
Farms & Agricultural Fields
Provides practical ground coverage for various agricultural planting and crop-management applications.
Flower & Horticultural Production
Suitable for flower farms, horticultural growing areas and other commercial cultivation projects.

Which Material Should You Choose?
Choose PP when the priority is strong weed suppression, good shape retention and lower purchasing cost. Its relatively rigid structure makes installation straightforward and helps maintain consistent ground coverage.
Choose PE when the project requires higher physical strength, greater flexibility and a longer service life. PE is particularly suitable where the ground cover needs to tolerate more movement or demanding outdoor conditions.
Note: Actual service life depends on material formulation, UV stabilization, fabric weight, climate, installation method and field conditions

FAQ
Q1: What is the difference between PP and PE weed barrier fabric?
PP fabric is more rigid, economical and provides very effective weed suppression, making it suitable for cost-sensitive and shorter-term agricultural applications. PE fabric is softer and more flexible, with higher physical strength and generally longer service life.
Q2: Which material provides better weed control?
PP is generally the better choice when strong weed suppression and stable ground coverage are the main priorities. PE also provides effective weed control, but very strong or coarse weeds may require heavier fabric, proper installation or additional weed-management measures.
Q3: What fabric weights are available?
Our standard options include 70 gsm, 80 gsm, 90 gsm and 100 gsm. Other specifications can be discussed for bulk orders.
Q4: How long can the weed barrier fabric be used?
Standard PP fabric is generally intended for relatively short-term use, with approximately 1–2 years being typical for some specifications. PE can provide a longer service life. Actual durability varies depending on GSM, UV stabilization, sunlight exposure, climate and installation conditions.
Q5: Does the fabric allow water to pass through?
Yes. The woven structure is designed to allow water and air to pass through, making it suitable for agricultural and horticultural ground-cover applications.
Q6: Can it be used in orchards and greenhouses?
Yes. It is suitable for orchards, greenhouses, nurseries, farms, flower-growing areas and other commercial agricultural applications.
Q7: Can the fabric be cut according to our required size?
Yes. Width, roll length and cutting can be customized according to your project requirements.
Q8: Can you add UV protection?
Yes. UV stabilization is available for outdoor applications. The required UV level should be confirmed according to the target market and expected service conditions.
Q9: Can you customize the green guide lines?
Yes. Guide-line design, spacing, roll dimensions and other details can be customized for bulk orders.
Q10: Do you supply wholesale and OEM orders?
Yes. Horyard supplies bulk orders for importers, agricultural distributors, nurseries, greenhouse growers, farms and garden-product wholesalers, with OEM packaging and specification customization available.
